Site Changes
Patchy
We just finished making a few changes to the site. Full Disclosure is now being streamed in Flash Video format. There is a Login/Logout link in the upper right hand corner, so you no longer have to go to the forum page to login. Also, our affiliates are being listed on the right side of the News page. As of now, our only affiliate is Security Distro. A few of my older videos are hosted on that site and Full Disclosure will soon be on that site too, so go check it out.
UK Bans Rockstar’s ‘Manhunt 2′
Tho
On June 19th, the British Board of Film Classification banned Rockstar’s ‘Manhunt 2′ for reasons of promoting sadism and mindless killing. It will however be legal to own a copy of the game in the UK, but it will be illegal to supply or sell the title in its current state. The BBFC hasn’t tried anything like this since last decade in 97′ when they attempted to ban the game ‘Carmaggedon’ for the ability to kill pedestrians; however, that decision was overturned by appeal.
Take-two (Manhunt’s game producers) has now indefinitely delayed the release of ‘Manhunt 2′ in the states due to its AO (adult only) rating by the ESRB…. continue reading here.

Safari for Windows XD
Patchy
Well Safari 3 Beta was released on windows a couple days ago, and if you know me you know I’m not the biggest fan of Apple. Within hours three exploits were already found! First by Dave Maynor’s (his exploit also exists in Safari 2.0.4 on OSX), next was Aviv Raff’s, and last was Thor Larholm’s. Didn’t Steve Jobs say Safari was the best web browser in the world in his iPhone speech? Well to be fair Internet Explorer 7 just had 6 exploits patched, and has tons of unpatched vulnerabilities out there. Why doesn’t everyone use Firefox?

Steal An Election?
Patchy
Princeton University researched Die Bold’s voting machine and discovered that with a minute alone with a voting machine an attacker could install an untraceable, self spreading, self removing virus to steal votes and compromise an election. Check out the video here and read the detailed write up here. This is fairly old, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Episode 3 - Wireless Hacking - DeAuth
Patchy
The third episode of Full Disclosure is a short one; however, it is a necessary step in cracking WPA-PSK which will be our next video. Basically this attack just disconnects all the users on a wireless network. The attacker does not need to know the WEP or WPA key or be connect to the network. This attack is illegal in many states, so this video is for education reasons only.
