On June 19th, the British Board of Film Classification banned Rockstar’s ‘Manhunt 2′ for reasons of promoting sadism and mindless killing. It will however be legal to own a copy of the game in the UK, but it will be illegal to supply or sell the title in its current state. The BBFC hasn’t tried anything like this since last decade in 97′ when they attempted to ban the game ‘Carmaggedon’ for the ability to kill pedestrians; however, that decision was overturned by appeal.

Take-two (Manhunt’s game producers) has now indefinitely delayed the release of ‘Manhunt 2′ in the states due to its AO (adult only) rating by the ESRB…. continue reading here.
