Hacking Challenges

Full Disclosure

August 29th, 2007 by Patchy
Full Disclosure means to disclose all the details of a security problem which are known. It is a philosophy of security management completely opposed to the idea of security through obscurity.” Some viewers of our online show “Full Disclosure” have criticize us for “teaching people how to commit crimes.” That is not our intention at all! We are simply providing the information to teach people about a security problem. It is up to the viewer to decide what they want to do with the information. Also, if we do not know a problem exists how can we begin to protect against that problem? Lastly, computer security is a hobby of ours and of many of our viewers. We enjoy learning about security issues, picking apart a system, hacking, and lock picking just for fun and not for malicious reasons.

P.S. We use “Lock picking” to categorize our videos. It doesn’t mean that video is about lock picking exactly, but some method of unlocking some type of lock. There will be lock picking episodes in the future to show the basics for picking a lock.
