Over the last month you may have received several false “503 Service temporarily unavailable” server errors. These error messages were cause by a security application; it checks client’s referrer and if it determines that it is forged, the server will respond with a 503 message. I believe that Wordpress was conflicting with this application, so I disabled it about a week ago. According to recent logs, the problem seems to be fixed.
