Episode 14 - Staying Secure - SSH Tunnel
Patchy
The wait is finally over! This new episode of Full Disclosure shows you how to use a SSH Tunnel to secure your data when you are on an untrusted LAN (ex. Coffee Shop, School’s network, or Defcon). Furthermore, you can use the SSH Tunnel to bypass the LAN’s internet filters. The SSH tunnel protocol works by encapsulates your data into an encrypted payload and transmitting it to the SSH Server which is setup on a trusted LAN.

That’s not true. A SSH Tunnel will encrypt your data it will not make you anonymous.

You know, I never want to do anything malicious to anyone’s computer or network, but this is great education for how best to protect myself. I know that this is probably not the best place to make suggestions, but could you maybe spend a show on the best ways to protect your network and why, rather than focusing on the easiest ways to attack. Sounds kind of contradictory, but maybe it makes sense.
This SSH show was great by the way!

the ip of the server is the ip of the computer you setup the SSH Server on. use http://www.ip-adress.com to find out your public ip address
