OK, here's my issue with OpenArena.

I have a ATI Radeon 9600 video card (256mb) and 1.5 gigs of ram which is sufficient to run Counter-strike:Source on high settings so why does OpenArena crash?

The circumstances: I recently downloaded/installed OpenArena for Ubuntu (before that, I downloaded all Ubuntu updates). When I first started the game I noticed some screen flicker so, I exited the game and checked to see that my graphics drivers were up to date. Then I restarted the game and it was still flickering.

I set all the display options to minimal settings and (about 5 minutes into a game – vs bots) the screen minimized itself and everything locked up.

Anybody having similar issues? Any known fixes?
