Hi There,


Not sure it's the right location to post this messsage but I was not able to choose correctly.


Some time ago, a got a list of strange password hashes:

z4DhEGMY
zly3jfPz


They are all 8 chars long and use Alpha-Numerical char set.


Does anyone have a clue on the type of hash it is?

may it is an DES hash. But I am not sure. Dowload john the ripper make an .txt file:

admin:Pass and try to crack it. If it is really and DES or another type of hash it can crack it will show u the type.
