Recently I found a new way to hack a administrator account on an pc.

The first thing that you have to do is to find an ohter pc/mac ;) On that pc you download the backtrack 3 final.(or if you have an other linux distribution that is also fine) In your case you will need the usb version because you don't have an optical drive. On this site there is a tutorial worked out how you can make your usb bootable.

After you made your usb bootable you plug him in and boot up from this usb drive.

If you wonna know how backtrack works just check out google or this site. There is a lot of good information on it.

After BT is loaded you click on the system shortcut on your desktop. Then type in the following path:

C:\Windows\System32

When you are in this folder you press ctrl+f to search. Search for the file sethc.exe, this can take a while.

Sethc.exe is the exe file of your [plaktoetsen] (this is the name in Dutch I don't know the name in English, just search with google pics and you will see what I mean ;)  )

Now you have to change the extension of this file. To do is click right and then rename. Rename the file to sethc.old

Now search again in this folder for the file cmd.exe. This is the exe file of your DOS. Copy this file.

After you copied this file just click on an empty place in the folder and paste. Now BT will say the file already exists. Choose the option to rename the file and name it as sethc.exe.

Now you created a DOS with the name sethc.exe

Shutdown Backtrack and remove the usb drive.

Boot your pc with Windows. When you are in the login screen press 5x shift and a commando prompt will apear.

Type in this window the following command: net user [your username] *

Like example net user administrator *

Now you can choose a new password for this account. While you are typing you will not see anything because of the safety. Be sure you type right !

Now login as your accountname and your new password !

After you did this all just boot up backtrack again and remove the sethc.exe. Rename the sethc.old back to sethc.exe and your pc ill be back the old one…
